Customer Review: smooth
This is the first time to purchase a Forrest blade and it certainly won't be the last. I haven't had it long, but it has easily cut 1 1/2" oak without burning, even on a slow cut. There's a little splintering when crosscutting, but nothing out of the ordinary. It's definitely worth what I paid for it.
Customer Review: Sustains Forrest's Reputation
I've been seeing things about the Forrest Blade for many (!) years and finally gave in, bit the bullet ($$) and now have this 12" blade on my Dewalt 12" compound slider. This blade performs just as I expected it to. Slick cross cuts on hard wood, wonderful cuts on ply (birch) with minimal to no bottom side chipping. I got just a few weeks of work out of it so can't speak to longer term durability. A wonderful tool for finish work.

Blade has 5/8 inch arbor.
Customer Review: Great all around performance
I build hardwood furniture for my home and love the way this blade performs on solid stock. The HIATB does an outstanding job on cross cuts and requires less feed force than my other blades. I would rate the rip performance better than Freud does, and I use it all the time in this capacity. When making my blade selection, I was a little unsure of the HIATB, having never owned one, but now I'm sold and would buy another. By design this blade does not leave a flat bottom cut - no raker teeth.
Customer Review: Excellent Cabinet Plywood Saw Blade
I was frustrated with how fast my steel plywood blades were wearing out cutting plywood, on a Shopsmith 520, so after reading the reviews I decided to give this blade a try. Although a little expensive, I agree with the other reviewers that this is one great blade. It produces clean, low shatter cuts in cabinet plywood. I did experience some burning on the fence side of the blade, but after several cuts it went a way. So far this blade has exceeded the life of two steel blades, but will have to produce quality cuts in excess of six standard blades to be more cost effective over the long haul. If it lasts I would buy it again. http://www.seawolfshomeworkshop.blogspot.com/

Freud LU85R010 10-Inch 80 Tooth ATB Ultimate Cut-Off Saw Blade with 5/8-Inch Arbor and PermaShield Coating

Are good blades worth the extra expense? Freud's done some impressive engineering and has come up with features that make these blades today's popular choice for woodworkers. The story on Freud blades is that the micrograin carbide/titanium tips stay sharp longer; the laser-cut body helps keep the hard steel blade flat and true; tri-metal brazing prevents cracks and failed joints; and the antikickback design ensures safer operation. While we may not understand the physics of these features, we do know these blades cut great and run quiet and chatter-free. They're Teflon-coated to reduce friction and heat buildup and to protect against rust, corrosion, and resin buildup. It's easy to imagine coaxing better performance and quality work out of older or underpowered saws with these Freud blades. This 10-inch, 80-tooth blade is designed to make sharp, thin kerf cuts on hard and soft woods. --Tim Block
Customer Review: Finish cuts
I mostly make small boxes and jewelery boxes. With the 80 tooth Freud blade the miter and other joinery cuts I make are glue up ready and have no tearout. This is the best blade I have for fine joinery.
Customer Review: good for the right job
I gave it 4 stars because it is an O.K. blade. I bought it for cutting 3/4" oak plywood (table saw). I was happy with the results, but not impressed. It worked well with other types of wood. Would I buy again? Only if I had to, due to choices available at that time. Price should be $69.99 for what you get.
